Digital Districts is a nonprofit effort aimed at using technology as a tool to improve outcomes for people -- for residents, businesses, and institutions. Collaboration will drive smart city success stories and it starts with creating collaborative cohorts of digital districts across cities and regions. The simple goal is to connect our communities, defeating the digital divide while providing economic mobility for everyone regardless of socioeconomic barriers including access to equitable education, job training, and jobs. As we improve our districts, we will give our residents the tools to stay competitive where they live as to not out-price community members from staying competitive at home. Public-private partnerships and process-driven planning standards will compress the time to realization of implementations that will make our digital districts thrive. Residents will enjoy an enhanced quality of life. Businesses will have the tools they need to grow, academic institutions will provide meaningful educational experiences, and our districts will attract and retain top talent to continue the smart city planning cycle.
